Lesson:2
The next lessons of the book are going to introduce the Arabic short vowels that appear above or beneath the letter. It will also introduce what we call nunnation (Tanwin). After that, there will be an opportunity to practice pronouncing words with these short vowels and the nunnation on the letters.
The short vowels (Harakat) above or beneath the letter create the syllable or the sound of the letter. Until now we have learned the name of the letter but now with the short vowel, we would be able to make a sound using the letter.
